After 25 years working with SMEs in private consulting and through donor funded intervention projects, our founder saw the need for two things to help increase investments and resolve scaling barriers to the benefit of whole industries, not just single firms. First, the need for an ecosystem response and second, the case for industry facilitation. In particular, providing more information on the agribusiness ecosystem on who is doing what, new projects’ promotion, and matching impact- oriented new projects with alternative capital and technical assistance and help SMEs across industries access local and export markets. This need gave birth to the Nigeria Agribusiness Register in 2018.
